Rabīndranāth Ṭhākur, (born May 7, 1861, Calcutta [now Kolkata], India—died August 7, 1941, Calcutta), Bengali poet, short-story writer, song composer, playwright, essayist, and painter who introduced new prose and verse forms and the use of colloquial language into Bengali literature, thereby freeing it from traditional models based on classical Sanskrit.

《飞鸟集》是印度诗人泰戈尔的代表作之一，也是世界上最杰出的诗集之一，它包括300余首清丽的小诗。白昼和黑夜、溪流和海洋、自由和背叛，都在泰戈尔的笔下合二为一，短小的语句道出了深刻的人生哲理，引领世人探寻真理和智慧的源泉。

I heard the echo, from the valleys and the heart

Open to the lonely soul of sickle harvesting

甚至林徽因、梁思成也如是，诗歌、建筑、短文，杰出的人各领域都有所建树，对卓越的追求永无止境，内心强烈的对卓越的追求。
